A Relational, Trauma-Informed, and Embodied Style of Therapy

Meet Your Therapist, Ariel

Hi, I’m Ariel, a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Approved Clinical Supervisor based in Victoria, BC. Therapy is a professional space built on trust and expertise, but it’s also fundamentally a relational experience. Together, we’ll navigate challenges with compassion and openness, where you can bring your whole self, including your sense of humour. Yes, when it’s appropriate we can laugh!

As someone in a long-term marriage, I understand the efforts required to stay connected and committed. As a mother, I know parenting can bring us to our knees; it is not for the faint of heart.

My approach blends relational depth with evidence-based practice, integrating EMDR, cognitive-behavioural, somatic and attachment-based therapies, and the SPACE program for parents supporting anxious children. Each session moves at a pace that honours your story, helping you build safety, emotional regulation, and lasting resilience.

Clients describe me as warm, insightful, approachable, and funny. Someone who brings clarity and compassion to even the most complex challenges.

My work integrates:

EMDR & Trauma-Informed Therapy Helping you process painful experiences and develop new, adaptive beliefs.

Somatic & Relational Techniques Incorporating neuroscience and embodiment to guide healing from within.

Mindfulness & Self-Compassion Practices Building calm, emotional balance, and a gentler relationship with yourself.

Evidence-based SPACE Empowering parents to respond to their child’s anxiety with confidence and care.

Strength-Based Perspective Focusing on what’s strong, not just what’s wrong, to help you move toward lasting change.

Where We’ll Meet

I offer counselling sessions both in-person and online, so you can choose the environment that feels most comfortable and convenient.

In Victoria, I meet with clients at Island Family Counselling Centre, a welcoming and centrally located space with free parking. I also see a number of clients from my home office in Cordova Bay, a calm and quiet setting designed to foster reflection and ease. For privacy and safety, that address is shared once a booking is confirmed.

Whether we meet at Island Family Counselling, in my home office, or virtually anywhere in British Columbia, my goal is the same, to provide a safe, grounded space where you can explore your story and move toward lasting change.
